Burro-Bound 8th Grade Families,
We wanted to provide you with a few important dates to mark in your calendar as you prepare for Hillsboro next year.
1) Save the Date. On August 6th from 3-5 p.m. Hillsboro is hosting a Burro Beginnings. This is a special orientation for incoming freshmen. You’ll get a preview of the school, be able to meet some of your teachers, and learn the ropes of how things work at Hillsboro. Parents – a separate orientation will be given for you at this same time. They are still working on some of the details of all of this and of course, have to navigate any COVID restrictions that may be in place, but please hold this date and time and be on the lookout for more information later this summer.
2) Athletics. I know many of you are interested in athletics. Hillsboro has a fabulous athletics program and wants to get you connected with coaches and others if you have questions regarding summer practices, etc. If you have questions, let the PTSO help you get answers by clicking here.
3) Other Resources. It is highly encouraged to check out the Hillsboro PTSO website – www.wearehillsboro.com. There’s a wealth of information on there, including a link to the Burro Box mentioned above, links to our social media accounts, ways to sign-up for our newsletter, etc.
