Ms. McKenna, 7th grade math, will be conducting a flower bulb drive from Monday, October 21st until Friday, November 15th. Her goal is to beautify our school campus for the upcoming Spring! Bulbs will be planted on school grounds on Saturday, November 16th, from 9 am – 12 am (students will receive IB volunteer hours!) under Ms. McKenna’s guidance. We are asking students and their families to donate any number of bulbs that they would care to bring.
The bulbs Ms. McKenna is requesting are hardy, proven winners for our Tennessee climate that will return year after year. Her first choice is daffodils, then irises, crocuses, grape hyacinths, and regular hyacinths. (no tulips please). There will be a box to drop off your donations by the office.
Thank you for considering being part of the flower bulb drive! We hope to see you on Saturday the 16th of November at 9 a.m. to help plant the collected bulbs and so that students can receive hours towards their IB service requirements.
