Kelly Larsen, 7th grade math
Hello, Matadors! I’m Kelly Larsen, one of the 7th grade math teachers at Moore, and this year I’m beginning my 7th year here. I’ve worked at several schools in MNPS, and consider myself lucky to be working here at Moore.
I grew up in Wisconsin (Go Badgers! Go Pack, Go!) but I’ve lived in Nashville almost half my life….so I don’t count as a tourist anymore, right? I do miss the snow, however.
During the summer months I love to travel and see our country’s beautiful National Parks. The picture you see was taken in Utah, at Arches National Park. I also enjoy traveling outside the US, to experience and enjoy the culture of other countries. I lived in Budapest, Hungary during my early teaching years, and I periodically go back to visit my former students there. My advice to all my students is to see as much of the world as you can – it’s amazing what’s out there!
I’m looking forward to another awesome year at JT Moore!
