To provide a welcoming place where students and faculty will find up-to-date, quality resources that support the academic curriculum; to teach information literacy skills using both print and non-print resources; to encourage the love of reading for enjoyment; to collaborate with teachers in planning for library use; and to provide enrichment opportunities through special programming.

Library Information Specialist:
Frenchie Fortenberry

Frenchie has been the library information specialist at J. T. Moore since 2002. Prior to 2002 she was at Cameron Middle School  for 11 years. Frenchie enjoys working in the same school that her two children attended. She is a long-time Nashville resident but is a native of Tylertown, MS. Her B.S. degree is in Home Economics Education from Mississippi University for Women. She taught junior high and high school home economics for 7 years before her oldest child was born. Frenchie has a M.S. degree in Secondary School Supervision from the University of North Texas, library courses from Trevecca Nazarene University, and +30 certification. She became a librarian in 1991.  Frenchie loves to introduce students and adults to books that they read and enjoy. Her family includes her husband, Phil, two adult children, a daughter-in-law and two wonderful grandsons, Douglas and William. Her family also includes Tucker, a very smart dog, who brings much joy and amusement to the family.
