Spirit Week!

This week is Spirit Week – see the schedule below:

Monday, October 26 – PJ Day
Pajamas must be pants style (girls may wear shorts with leggings underneath), nothing inappropriate – shoulders not showing, belly not showing, etc. May wear house shoes, curlers in hair.

Tuesday, October 27- Jersey Day
Choose your favorite team, may wear blue jeans, shorts

Wednesday, October 28 – Mix Match/Tacky Day
Self explanatory, but must follow Metro dress code (no sagging, nothing inappropriate, etc.)

Thursday, October 29 – EXTREME JT Moore Day
Pep Rally (last 40 mins. Of school day). JTM from head to toe. May wear wigs, paint face…EXTREME!

Friday, October 30 – Fall Fun Dress Up Day
1/2 day of school! Not acceptable: masks, costumes of negative tone, accessories that you have to carry, bulky costumes (must be able to sit in a desk).

Baseball tryout / practice this Saturday canceled

The practice/try-out is canceled for this Saturday, October 24th. Thanks to all those who came out. Conditioning will begin in early January.

Lady Matadors Volleyball Team City Champions!

J.T. Moore Girls Volleyball team won the City Championship at the city tournament at MLK.   We defeated Meigs in two exciting, close matches. (more…)

Lady Matador Soccer Scores Up and Down Season

The 2009 Lady Matador Soccer team had an up and down season this year. With only 6 returning players this season and a new crop of 7th graders, the girls had to get used to playing with one another. (more…)

Volleyball Lady Matadors Western Division Tournament Champions!

H1N1 Vaccinations Available at J.T. Moore

The Metro Public Health Department is partnering with Metro Nashville Public Schools to provide free H1N1 vaccinations to our students at school. Schools
have sent information letters and consent forms home with students. The forms allow you to either accept or refuse the vaccination for your child. Please read
this information carefully and return the form to your child’s school by Thursday, Oct. 15th. You will be notified of the vaccination date.

Invest Pizza Party

The class winner for the most pledge cards turned in for the Invest campaign is Mr. Duncan’s fifth grade class. They will get a PIZZA PARTY today, Wednesday, October 7th, hosted by the INVEST committee. Thank you Mr. Duncan’s class for your special effort!

J.T. Moore Alum Rocks “School House Rocks Live” at Nashville School for the Arts

J.T. Moore alum Wells Wright is starring in the musical “School House Rock Live” – an upbeat musical about a school teacher who learns how to teach math, science and grammar through lively tunes and dance.
