Don’t forget to turn in your Invest Pledge forms.  We would really like to have 100% participation in our Main Fundraiser for JTM. Remember even a small amount makes a difference – whether it is $5 or $5000, every little bit helps our wonderful school with essential needs! Some registration forms for Girls on Track contained incorrect dates; 6th-8th grade Girls on Track meets Mondays and Wednesdays 4pm-5:15 pm beginning Sept.14th. Registrations ($150  fee, scholarships available) are processed by mail, limited to 12 participants per 12-week session and will be processed on a first come, first served basis. As photos are taken throughout the year of students, faculty, parents or others in our community, please email them to Jill Tingley for this changing exhibit! You will be recognized for your photos, so let everyone see your photographic talent! (please list students’ names with each photo, so we do not post any photos that are restricted by parental request).

Thursday, August 20th from 6:00-8:00pm. The cost is $10.00 cash.  If students plan to take advantage of this they will need to sign-up and pre-pay Coach Wigginton or Coach Kurzrock by Tuesday August 18th. Before students can try out for any school teams they must have a current physical (after 5/1/2009), parent consent form, and proof of insurance.  Forms can be obtained from the office, the coaches, or the TSSAA website.

GIRLS SOCCER (Coach Bryan)
Monday, August 24 – Wednesday, August 26, 4:00-6:00pm.
Please note this is a change from the original dates.
Wear shin guards, socks and cleats.  Bring water if possible.  First practice will be Thursday, August 27, 4:00-6:00pm.

FOOTBALL (Coach Wigginton)
Monday, August 24, 4:00-6:00pm.
First 3 days are in t-shirts and shorts.  Practice will continue Monday – Friday 4:00-6:00pm until the season begins in September.  All equipment will be provided except cleats, socks, and mouthpieces.

VOLLEYBALL (Coach Kurzrock)
Thursday, August 20 – Friday, August 21, 3:55-6:00pm.
Wear t-shirts, shorts and tennis shoes.  If you have knee pads, bring them.

We can’t wait to see everyone back at school next Friday the 14th!  Hours will be 8:55am to 12:25pm. Please join us for a light breakfast in the cafeteria after drop-off.  PTO volunteers and staff will be on hand to answer questions and welcome you back to school!  Please remember to have your child bring back their Student Health History and Student Information Verification forms from MNPS that were mailed to you last week (more…)

Our first PTO Meeting of the year will be at 6pm, Tuesday August 11th, in the cafeteria. Come meet our new Asst. Principal, Dr. Gary Hughes, who is AMAZING!!  We are so fortunate to have him join our Marvelous Matador staff!  (more…)
