P.E. / Band / Strings update

Monday, August 24th, 2009

If your child is in Band / Strings, he or she will have P.E. this year.  The child’s schedule will say Band or Strings all year every day and you won’t see a P.E. teacher’s name listed (this was done to keep the P.E. teachers from having 50 students in a class, which is over state limits). The Instrumental Music teachers have worked it out with PE to have the students dress out in the gym every other day to participate fully in PE throughout the year.  We think this compromise will suit everyone.  Thanks for your support of all the wonderful Related Arts classes and teachers!

P.E. Information

Monday, August 24th, 2009

There has been a tad bit of confusion regarding the A day, B day schedule for related arts. It is a change from last year’s “wheel”. The A/B day rotation is continual so each week will be different in which day starts out A or B. For example: If Friday was “A”, Monday will be “B” and continually switch day to day. Holidays do not cause the rotation to skip. So if Monday is supposed to be “B” but we don’t have school because of Labor Day, it still counts as “B” and Tuesday will then be “A” and so on. Not to worry, your kids will have it figured out in no time.  Click here to downlowd a pdf  calendar with all of the A/B days marked on it. (more…)
